What is an ICO or ITO?
In so called Initial Token Offerings people pay normally Ether to get a new ERC20 Token. In real ICOs you get a Token from an all new crypto currency. Extraledger is neither of that. We will give you a NFT, a Non-Fungible Token for every bought parcel. These contain information about the parcel like its ID and coordinates. Every parcel is therefore an unique token but can be managed or traded by transferring it to other Ether wallets.

What are Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs) exactly?
A non-fungible token (NFT) is a special type of cryptographic token which represents something unique; non-fungible tokens are thus not mutually interchangeable. This is in contrast to cryptocurrencies like bitcoin, and many network or utility tokens that are fungible in nature. Specific token standards have been created to support the use of a blockchain in gaming and other applications that require more than just a virtual currency. These include the Ethereum ERC-721 standard of CryptoKitties, and the more recent ERC-1155 standard.
Are the parcels or later NFTs like stock shares?
Kind of. Every user gets a voting right and you can trade the NFTs. Also the NFTs will have unique values. When you buy land that is close to – let’s say the Apollo 11 landing spot, it will have greater value than average.
Who am I dealing with?
We as project team provide the platform and will organise the distribution of the NFTs. After that, the NFTs are all yours and you are independent of any authority when trading them. Think of them as freely tradable land register entries. We can not take them back from you.
We will found a Limited Company (Ltd) in April or May, based in the canton of Berne, Switzerland.
How will I get my NFTs?
We will provide a simple 5 minutes guide how you can set up your very own Ether wallet. Once you have a public key, you can enter it on our platform and the NFTs will go to there as soon as they will be distributed. We are thinking of integrating a DEX, a Decentralised EXchange in a early stage, so you can trade them on our plattform too.
How many NFTs will be on the market?
We distribute the NFTs after the first 7’000 bought parcels. From then ongoing, we release batches of 1’000 parcels for buying every time there are no more left. Every extraterrestrial body is covered in 1 Million parcels. 200’000 of them belong to the founders.
Pricing?
First 200 parcels are free, the next 800 cost 5$ each. After that, with every batch of 1’000 parcels the price per parcel rises 1$.
If you want to buy more than one parcel, maybe next to each other for having a bigger advertising area, you can contact us for an individual offer. You can do this before launch already, meaning right now. We have the budget for the launch already but the more investors we have, the bigger and more impactful the marketing campaign will be.
On launch you can buy multiple parcels in the shop too, packages of 9 or 16. Initial price per parcel when buying 9 is 10$, when buying 16 it’s 12$. After that, with every batch of 1’000 parcels the price per parcel in these packages rises 2$.
Why does Mars not look and feel like a modern video game?
Not yet yes. This is a ongoing project. Normally, organizations doing ICOs don’t have anything up and running except from a fancy website when they start asking for money. Look at what you see here now as a preview of where this is going. We will add features, optimize performance, make it look nicer. But our manpower is limited and this will take some time. The more parcels are sold, the faster the whole project will advance. We dream about creating a native iOS and Android App in the future. Super fancy.
Where is the White Paper?
We don’t have one. In 2017 everybody was bragging with their super great White Paper and what they are going to do. Well, most of them never delivered. That’s why it is a symbolic act to NOT have a White Paper. But we have an interactive mind map for you.
